What we built together
Overview
Flare is an EVM compatible layer 1 built around one idea: data should be a native part of the chain, not an add on. Instead of relying on external oracle networks, Flare builds price feeds and cross chain data directly into the protocol, secured by the network's own validators.
What stands out
- FTSO. The Flare Time Series Oracle delivers decentralized price feeds at the protocol level.
- Flare Data Connector. Brings verified data from other blockchains and the web into smart contracts.
- FAssets. Lets assets without native smart contracts, like XRP, BTC and DOGE, be used in DeFi on Flare, starting with FXRP.
- FLR. The native token secures the network and rewards the data providers behind the oracles.
Why it is on this list
XRP has one of the largest holder bases in crypto and very little to do onchain. Flare is betting on giving that capital a DeFi home, and that is a bet worth watching.
