Rayls
The blockchain for banks: a public EVM chain plus private networks for compliant tokenization and payments.
01 / THE WORK
What we built together
Overview
Rayls describes itself as the blockchain for banks, and the design follows from that. Financial institutions can run their own private, permissioned networks that keep client data confidential, while still connecting to a public EVM chain where assets and liquidity can move.
The aim is to make regulated finance comfortable onchain: real world asset tokenization, CBDC use cases, cross border payments and access to regulated liquidity.
What stands out
- Privacy by design. Private networks for institutions, so sensitive data never has to sit on a public ledger.
- Public connectivity. A public EVM chain where tokenized assets can reach open market liquidity.
- Compliance first. Built around the requirements banks and regulators actually have.
- EVM compatible. Familiar tooling for builders on both the private and public side.
Why it is on this list
Tokenization only scales if banks can use it without breaking their own rules. Rayls is working directly on that problem, which is one of the most important and least flashy parts of the RWA story.
